People throughout time have been quoted as saying such things as Liberty, Justice, Freedom and Democracy are all dead, and frankly they were being hyperbolic at best. The reality is at this time in history, all those things are becoming more and more true and less and less hyperbolic. Laws now only apply to the middle class and poor while corporations and the super rich live by their own rules. Governments are no longer held accountable for illegal misdeeds because they broker deals with heads of states to trade favors to look the other way. It may not be the worst time in history honestly, but its pretty goddamned bad right now as our Liberty, Freedom, Democracy, Justice and our Rights are trampled on by a government we elected only to serve corporate good.
You, me, everyone, we are all fucked the world over and you need to wake the fuck up.
