Who Do That?: Kevin Conroy
In a special edition of Who Drew That? we are replacing the drew with do and seeing who is the person that does something instead of draws something. That person is none other than Kevin Conroy!
Kevin Conroy isn’t a name that instantly conjures up images of grandeur like if I had said Sean Connery or Bruce Willis, but his star hangs high in the skies of geekdom and will elicit fanboy glee at the mere mention!
So who is Kevin Conroy? None other than the voice of Batman!

In much the same way that Mark Hamill has put his stamp of ownership on The Joker, Conroy has done the same with his iconic voice work as The Batman, and like Hamill will forever be associated with the character. Having starred or costarred in no less than 24 features films, television shows and video games, Conroy has made his mark as the Bat, and will forever be known as Bruce Wayne and Batman.
So what does this Conroy character look like anyway? Would you notice him walking down the street as one of the most iconic voice actors to ever live? Or would you pass him by like some average Joe Schmoe?
Hit the break to see what the real man behind the cowl looks like.
Couldn’t watch some old school batman TV shows without doing a little fan art! I tried to put some Truce Timm in this one!
I’ll maybe do some more!

clownyprincess answered your question: I just had a stunning thought, is The Joker Gay?…
you think this is a stunning thought? this is hardly new.
For you maybe its not new or stunning, but honestly, to me it was stunning. It was something that never even occurred to me and when it dawned on me out of the blue, it stunned me that I hadn’t noticed it sooner. Maybe I’m not the sharpest person around or maybe It just doesn’t matter if he’s gay or not (which it totally doesn’t) I generally don’t concern myself with matters of fictional characters sexuality, but in a moment it became obvious to me and I was stunned by it.
I was discussing it with some friends and they came across the notion that he’s not gay so much as he’s a bi-sexual sociopath and that sex is more a means of control than fucking for pleasure. Actually I think a few people on tumblr brought this up as well.
All these ideas are wonderful and have me thinking of the Joker from new angles I had never considered before and its really neat for me. For me this is another way to understand the character of The Joker and has given me a new found appreciation and added some dimension to his character. With this new knowledge, Joker has become a lot more interesting.

Dennis Medri is at it again with another knock-out in his Batman Rockabilly series. This time he graces us with “The Riddler and Harley Quinn Rockabilly” which is arguably my favorite to date.
Check out some of his other entries in the series: The Joker / Catwoman / Nightwing and Robin / Batman and Batmobile
When I was a kid, like most kids growing up in the 70’s, I loved the Super Friends! While most kids gravitated toward Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman, I was drawn to one character in particular, Black Manta.
His design just really hooked me. He had that cool ass helmet and was just this sleek dark figure that was always causing trouble. Fast forward about 30 years and Black Manta is still one of my favorite villains in the DCU and he’s still a badass!
With season 2 of YOUNG JUSTICE (INVASION) underway currently, all sorts of surprises are popping up and the latest is a doozey! Black Manta, apparently is going to play a pretty big role this season, along with his son. His son you say? Black Manta has a son? But of course! And if you want to find out who that young man is, you’ll have to tune in and find out, cause I wont spoil here with anymore screen shots.*
Also as a bonus treat, I get to finally see the face of Black Manta, which til now has been a mystery to me.
*That’s the back of his sons head stage right in the one screen shot ;D
I just had a stunning thought, is The Joker Gay?
I mean seriously, think about it for a second, he has this girlfriend (Harley Quinn) whom he really doesn’t seem the least bit interested in and is almost completely dismissive of most of the time, and he is fixated on this guy (Batman) who gets all of his attention and emotion.
At the very least, The Joker is asexual with somewhat or occasional homosexual leanings (where Batman is concerned at least). Granted this is a glancing thought and not a fully realized or researched idea, but at a cursory glance I think it has some teeth potentially.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Has there ever been any discussion about this in the comics?
I would love to hear some opinions on my theory.

“When I started developing the look of the characters for Young Justice back in 2009, Dick Graysons Robin was the first hero I sat down to draw. I’m pretty sure Nightwing was the first character I designed for the second season, bringing the experience kind of full circle. I guess I really dig the character.”
